CHATLANDS OPERATING AGREEMENT - VERSION 1.6 -
March 6 2013
This is the final step before the creation of a new Chatlands site. Before
this happens, we need to make sure that these requirements are all out of
the way. Please note that probably some or possibly all of these have been
discussed with you before, but they are being restated here to make sure
that you have completed all of the necessary steps before we actually
create the chat. Send an email back to me (William Underwood) responding
to the items discussed here and we're ready to go.
PART 1: ADMINISTRATOR BEHAVIOR

Please indicate that all of the following are true:

(1) You are 18 years old or older OR William Underwood is aware
that you are not and he has waived this requirement.
|
|
(2) You agree to the conditions set forth in the Chatlands administrator
conduct (
http://chatlands.com/admin_conduct.php ) and that you will make
sure that all of your current and future site administrators read and
agree to this as well.

|
(3) You agree to follow and to enforce the Chatlands terms of use

http://chatlands.com/terms_of_use.php )
|
|
(4) You agree to follow and to enforce the Chatlands site rules
(
http://chatlands.com/faq/rules.php ).
|
|
(5) You will at all times behave in a professional manner as a site
administrator, and that you will require professional behavior at all
times from your other site administrators.

|
(6) You have a good record on other Chatlands sites, and that none of
your accounts are currently banned on any other Chatlands sites, or, if
any of your accounts are currently banned on another Chatlands site,
that you have made William Underwood aware of the ban and that he has
agreed to allow you to operate a Chatlands site in spite of any such
ban.

PART 2: CHAT SITE CONFIGURATION

Furthermore, please provide answers to all of the following questions:
|
|
(1) What is the official site name?
|
|
(2) What is the Chatlands account to set as the official site
owner?
|
(3) What is the official site owner's FULL NAME, MAILING ADDRESS and
TELEPHONE NUMBER? This information is required for legal
reasons. If Wunderwood LLC is ever contacted by law enforcement
officials, we may need to provide this information so that they can then
contact you for additional help in an investigation.

(4) Please provide a link to the chat site forum (if you don't
have a forum set up, that's okay)
|
(5) Should the chat site be set the site to be invitation only?
Note: setting the site to invitation only is usually a good idea,
at least during the initial configuration before launch, so that you
don't have visitors seeing things that aren't ready yet.

(6) Do you agree to spend ten deltas to set up this Chatlands site?
Note: 5 deltas go into your site delta bank, which you control.
The other 5 deltas are a setup fee.

(7) Please provide a working email address.
|
THE NEXT STEP: SITE CREATION AND CONFIRMATION EMAIL!
Once these requirements are out of the way I will create a "generic" site
and I'll send you the links to the home page, administrator menu and site
maintenance menu.
After that, you can start preparing your new site, setting up additional
administrator accounts, uploading a new map to replace the "generic" one,
uploading a lot of rooms and placing them on your map, uploading new pose
sets (if any - not required) and so on.
When you feel that you are ready to "launch" (i.e. "go public", make your
site publicly available), you should tell me and I will switch the site to
be a public site.
I want to see sites launch quickly, so I'd like to have the set up take at
most about one week. After about one week of preparation, it is usually
time to "go public".
That means that your site will appear on the Wunderwood "landing page" (
http://wunderwood.com/landing.php ).
After your site goes public you will have one more week where everyone has
free subscriptions. After that free opening week, all subordinate accounts
need to spend deltas in order to continue to access the site's extra
features.
Please Note:
There are still many things that need to be done, but this will probably
always be the case. I expect that these sites to be continuously under
development, and that I will be making improvements and updates for the
forseeable future.
For example right now I still need to write code that allows the site
owner to customize the chat site home page (and other things like the
Mysts page, the FAQs, etc). For now the home page image(s) and some other
images have to be emailed to me instead so that I can do manual
updates.
Another important piece of code that needs to be completed allows the site
alphas to customize the site in many ways, such as changing the colors on
administrator labels, changing the rank icons, switching the site on or
off of "invitation only", and many other database settings (changing the
setting for the forum URL comes to mind). I intend to work diligently on
these and other changes and improvements in the coming days, weeks and
months and I will do my best to keep you and all other site owners aware
of any changes.
